Wanderers Outdoor Adventure
Posted by Keith MacMillan on 5 August 2016
As part of pre-season, we are planning to go on a club adventure to climb a Munro. Here’s the plan:
Munro: Ben Vorlich, near Callander
Date: Saturday 13th August (get it in your diary!)
Time: All day. Leaving Dundee around 9am (MEET 8:45 AT THE CLUBHOUSE) returning about tea time.
Who? EVERYONE!! ALL CLUB MEMBERS YOUNG AND OLD ARE WELCOME
Details:
We will take the minibus, plus any other cars if required for numbers, leaving Dundee at 9am with a Perth pick up en route. On the way back we could stop in Callander for food, I’m happy to make a restaurant reservation when we know numbers.
What will you need?
Walking boots/trainers (shoes you are willing to walk in for 4hours!)
Waterproof jacket
Jumper- it gets cold at the top
Hat and gloves (optional)
Packed lunch+snacks
Water
Suncream- optional
Don’t worry about fitness level for doing this, we will take it steady and take plenty breaks on the way up. This is absolutely something for ALL club members.
This is sure to be a great day out, hopefully with some spectacular views included!
If you would like to come along, please either email Fiona Plain (f.plain@dundee.ac.uk) or COMMENT on the Facebook post so we know numbers, hope lots of you can make it! If you would prefer to be picked up at Perth please let Fiona know so we don’t leave anyone behind!!
