Well done on your efforts this weekend. Unfortunate to only finish third but we can hold our head up high I think given today was the first session where we have all been together fully.
I feel we had the potential to get second place had we competed for the full length of the games because we kept a clean sheet in the second period v west, north and highland. This shows we need to be switched on to tournament hockey from the start.
Also had we taken our chances we would've scored a few more goals but the ones we did score were well taken and composed in the d. Personal favourite was the opening goal of the day from George, I had thought you had done too much with the ball to score but thankfully you proved me wrong!
Results
1-1 v east George Rees with the goal
3-0 v west
4-0 v north Alex Wilson, penalty flick from Jamie Golden, Cameron Ross and Tom Morris
2-0 v highland
Overall placing 3rd.
Going forward I would advise all players to be playing regular club hockey at 11 a side in development leagues as well as against teams of their own age group. Those who aren't already members of a club please don't hesitate to contact me for details of clubs in the area.
