RICHARD DOCHERTY INDOOR CUP

January 2013 will see the second edition of the Richard Docherty Indoor Cup returning to his home city of Edinburgh. Following on from a massively successful inaugural event in 2012, the 2013 version will be even bigger and brighter with more Olympian’s and World Class Hockey stars than ever before. In addition to this, the event has added a women’s competition for the first time which will see three Edinburgh Clubs which were close to Richard’s heart playing for the Richard Docherty Indoor Trophy.
The magnificent [EN]GAGE sports facility at Edinburgh Napier University’s Sighthill Campus will again play host to this exciting and innovative spectacle with availability for over 300 spectators per day, across the newly extended schedule from Friday the 4th to Sunday the 6th of January 2013.
As with the previous event, it will also include youth coaching and demonstration games along with opportunities for Meet & Greet – Question and Answer sessions and another Black-Tie Gala Dinner with any profit achieved from the events being given to charities and good causes close to Richard’s family.
