GRAND MASTERS HOCKEY - CELTIC CUP

2014 sees Ireland and France travel to Clydesdale Hockey Club in Glasgow to play in the Celtic Cup from 25-25th April.
Scotland and Wales first competed for the Celtic Cup in 2007 and since then the event has been held regularly with Scotland having the slight edge over Wales in terms of results.
Last year Scotland appointed Gary Wright as their coach and they have been hard at work training over the winter in opreparation for not only this event, but also the World Cup which is to be held in the Netherlands in June.
This year the tournament features not only the international sides but also a recreational side - The Scottish Thistles (players aged 60-70) as well as a Glasgow select and a Barbarians side , which is made up of a selection of players from all four competing nations.
There is also a Great Grand Masters Celtic Cup which will battled for by the over 65s from Scotland and Wales.
