| Match Report | In a scrappy first game we ran out narrow winners over a physical and determined Wildcats team. The game was slow and littered with errors but within the first 10 mins we had a couple of corners and managed to convert a breakdown with a deflection from Sam Sangster. Moving on should have been a formality but our own errors were costly and we gifted them two goals to go in 1 - 2 down at the half. A good start to the second half saw Vikki Bunce round their runner at a corner and reverse stick a shot through the keeper to level the match. Again we should have kicked on and taken the game away from them but couldnt really find any fluencey To an extent we played better but failed to convert any chance or any of the 9 corners in the half. Right on the final whistle we were awarded our 10th corner and Julie Bryce fired home with a great shot to take the points. A win is a great start but we will need to improve to get where we want to be this season |
