Dundee Wanderers got their string of pre-season friendlies underway against Dunfermline Carnegie with a 12-3 victory.

Although the result never looked in danger, a slightly shaky first half from the young side all in black gave the visitors hope. Defensive errors and lack of communication caused the Wanderers to concede the goals, however slick attacking play, especially in the second half, ensured the victory. Although this Dunfermline Carnegie side will not be on the same level as National One opponents, Wanderers displayed very positive play on their first match back from the break, and is a sign of what is to come in the forthcoming weeks.
