Ladies 1 Vs Giffnock

In a fairly tight contest we got off to a tentative stert and lacked some of the sharp passes and incisive running of the Western game but in the 11th minute we managed to win the first corner of the game and force a save from a Rachel Russel strike. and 6  minutes later we took the lead from a nice pass to Julie from CJ with Heather turning in Julies reverse cross. From here it should have been plain sailing and Amy had a good 1v1 chance where she was deliberately held up with no foul for us, then Vikki flashed a reverse shot across goal and Heather again got a touch but just turned it wide. at HT it felt like we just needed to push on and the goals would come.

This never happened and 8 mins into the second half they won a corner which was blocked but looped towards goal and as we watched it they pounced to equalise. This spurred them on and we looked as though we were scared to lose. Despite still creating chances and a stonewall penalty shout we were unable to get the winning goal and although we didnt lose it sure felt that way.

A decent weekend overall and our chances af splitting the big 2 still remain in tact
