Ladies 1 Vs Grange EL

Another encouraging performance and 4 good goals saw us put Kelburne's conquerers to the sword. A good start with a nice passing move down the right involving Jen, Julie and Heather saw a Vikki shot saved by the keeper and only three minutes later the same combination managed to win a free hit and subsequently free Vikki for a reverse shot which was saved but allowed Amy Rowan to sweep in the rebound for an early lead.

Although we had the lions share of posession and created some good chances; Heather had a deflection cleared off the line and Amys shot was brilliantly saved, it stayed at 1 - 0 at the turnaround.

Grange started brightly in the second half and had a shot go high and wide just after the restart. Then it was business as usual with Julie cutting through the defence for Heather to jab a ball under the keeper but somehow stay out, and Julie and Vikki combining for Vikki to volley a lifted pass into the goal. Only two minutes later it was 3 - 0 when Heather latched on to a Rachel Russell pass and fired home for her fourth of the weekend.

The pressure was maintained and Amy just failed to latch on to a Sam pass in acres of space with goal gaping but it was a brief reprieve as she was soon given a run on goal from a great passing move that saw her round the keeper and hammer home from a narrow angle.

Overall a good day saw us take an organised Grange side apart to create an abundance of opportunities. Also key was the better organisation in the back line and our first clean sheet was assisted with some good keeping by Carmin.
